Some legislation
Hey, I've been cruising the comlaw site (which is great, full of official legislation for primary sourcing)
it's at
http://www.comlaw.gov.au/comlaw/comlaw.nsf/sh/homepage
For this topic specifically though it looks like we'll need to pour through a fair amount of legislation, mainly the most current version of the Broadcasting Services Act (including amendments up to no.73 of 2008) which was enacted in 1992. Linked here

If we can figure out a more specific area to focus on, it will narrow down the amount of reading. Any ideas? Maybe one particular company, or a specific aspect of media ownership or something? I dunno, I'm asking you.
The only other kinda crazy legislation I found was 'Broadcasting Services (Anti-terrorism Requirements for Open Narrowcasting Television Services) Standard 2006' which involved policing television content to ensure it is not acting at the behest of terrorist organisations. Sounds fair enough, but as we all know only the government defines a terrorist organisation. IS this thinly veiled censorship? (I'm going to look into how it has been used so far and try and keep you posted.)
The amendment is linked here

I'll keep researching some stuff related to this, if anyone else finds anything be sure to post it.
Thanks guys.

Media Moguls
The pacific media (especially English speaking) is managed by a small network of media outlets that reproduce American and EU prepackaged reports
