Latin for food code is a collection of internationally recognized standards, codes of practice, guidelines and other recommendations relating to foods, food production and food safety under the aegis of consumer protection. It is written by the WHO and Food and Agriculture Org. in 1962 and is currently part of the WTO charter.

The scary thing is the classification of nutrients as poisons and the claim that vitamins have no proven benefits for humans!

A great introduction video is called "We Become Silent". It runs for half an hour, narrated by Dame Judi Dench, and is fairly recent being made in 2005.

(if the link doesn't work type "we become silent" into google video)

Another great recording is a lecture given by Ian Crane in 2007 it is 90 mins and is a straight lecture on Codex

(if the link doesn't work type "codex alimentarius" into google video and it is the one the runs for 89 mins)
